Diet Mulai Besok: why logging food should be as easy as a photo
Most people stop counting calories on day three. We tried to make it take a single photo.
Almost everyone who has tried to diet knows the pattern: excited on day one, logging every bite on day two, giving up on day three. Not because of laziness, but because logging food is exhausting.
One photo, not ten fields
In Diet Mulai Besok, you just take a photo of your plate. TIYAS, the AI assistant in the app, recognises the food and estimates its calories and nutrients. Want to fix the portion? Adjust it a little, with no long form to fill in.
The food we actually eat
Calorie apps from abroad often get confused by nasi padang, seblak, or palm sugar iced coffee. So we built a local food database with hundreds of Indonesian dishes, to make estimates more sensible for what people here eat every day.
Slowly, but steadily
We did not want an app that makes people feel guilty. The daily diary shows your remaining calories in a relaxed way, activity is logged through Health Connect, and you can chat with TIYAS about menus or eating habits.
Diet Mulai Besok is available for free on Google Play. See the Diet Mulai Besok page for details.
